About Us
Mindful Mentoring and Support Services was founded by husband and wife team, Jay and Bessie, who saw a real need for tailored, person-centred support that genuinely empowers people to build the lives they want. With backgrounds in both the disability sector and child protection, they were driven by a shared passion for working with young people living with disabilities — helping them develop life skills that many others take for granted, and supporting them to gain independence and take control of their own lives.
At our core, we believe in the power of connection. That’s why we focus so strongly on matching like-minded mentors and support workers with each individual we work with. By learning what brings our participants joy — their hobbies, interests, and goals — we’re able to create meaningful relationships that foster trust and motivation. These relationships become the foundation for making real, lasting change.
We support people of all ages and backgrounds across Adelaide, offering mentoring, daily support, community access, life skill development, and transport services. Whether someone wants to learn how to cook, get to the gym, develop a daily routine, or simply feel more confident in social settings — we walk alongside them every step of the way.
Our team is made up of passionate, down-to-earth people who are committed to going the extra mile. We celebrate the small wins, the big breakthroughs, and everything in between — because we know those moments are life-changing.
We’re here to support, to listen, and to empower. Because everyone deserves the opportunity to live a happy, fulfilling life — and the right support can make all the difference.
